Part fabrication - part assemblage, Gagik Aroutiunian's mixed media sculptures incorporate decontexturalized fragments of our society's material culture. Aroutiunian's work embodies an ongoing exploration of the themes displacement, alienation and person history, based on his complex experiences as a foreigner in many countries, including his homeland.
